Hearth & Home Technologies Inc., the world's largest fireplace manufacturer and a subsidiary of HNI Corporation (NYSE:HNI) announced today that it has acquired Buck Stoves West, Inc. (BSW), a wholesale and installing distributor supplying hearth products to homebuilders and homeowners in Northern California. Headquartered in Benicia, California, the company also has locations in Modesto and Sacramento.

"The acquisition of BSW enhances our ability to effectively meet the hearth product and service needs of the rapidly growing Northern California market," said Brad Determan, President, Hearth & Home Technologies. "Incorporating BSW into our fully integrated distribution network is a continuation of our strategy to establish closer relationships with builders and provide them with one point of contact for all of their hearth needs. By working with us, they'll be able to gain logistical and support efficiencies, as well as greater access to hearth solutions from Heatilator and Heat & Glo, the most recognized brands in the industry."

Over the course of next 30 days Hearth & Home Technologies intends to change the name of BSW to Fireside Hearth & Home, the company's retail and new construction operations brand and the world's largest provider of hearth services. The BSW acquisition broadens Fireside Hearth & Home's presence beyond the eastern and mid-western regions and establishes the western market's first fully integrated hearth supplier. BSW principal, Guy Fasanaro, will join Fireside Hearth & Home in a sales development role. Fireside Hearth & Home will immediately begin a search for a general manager.
