Hearth & Home Technologies Acquires FCM/Comfort Wholesale

Hearth & Home Technologies Inc., the worlds largest fireplace manufacturer and a subsidiary of HNI Corporation (NYSE:HNI) announced today that it has acquired FCM/Comfort Wholesale, a wholesale and installing distributor supplying hearth products to homebuilders and homeowners in Southern California. The company is located in Gardena, California.

Incorporating FCM/Comfort Wholesale into our fully integrated distribution network is a continuation of our strategy to establish closer relationships with builders and provide them with one point of contact for all of their hearth needs. By working with us, theyll be able to gain logistical and support efficiencies, as well as greater access to hearth solutions from Heatilator and Heat & Glo, the most recognized brands in the industry.

Over the course of next 30 days Hearth & Home Technologies intends to change the name of FCM/Comfort Wholesale to Fireside Hearth & Home, the companys retail and new construction operations brand. The FCM/Comfort Wholesale acquisition broadens Fireside Hearth & Homes presence beyond the eastern and mid-western regions and establishes Southern Californias first fully integrated hearth supplier. FCM/Comfort Wholesale principal, Frank Mons, will join Fireside Hearth & Home as Division Manager of the Gardena location. Scott Lowe will serve as Vice President, General Manager of Hearth and Home Technologies Southern California, Southern Nevada and Arizona region.
